“ Pizzeria 2000 is a small, pleasant country restaurant/bar in the cradle of Uruguay's dairy country. It is very popular with many reviewers, and my 3-star rating is not meant to reflect anything negative, just that it is not a place you would drive out of your way to get to. I happened to be passing through town, and had a pretty good chivito completo, but wished I'd ordered the milanesa or spaghetti bolognese, which I envied when they were served at other tables. I arrived a little after 13.00, and there were maybe 10 customers, so not overly crowded. There is indoor and outdoor seating, a pool table a bar (heavy on whisky). Seems like the place where people in town go to meet each other. If you are in the area and feeling hungry, I guess it is the go-to place. ”
